Toad for resident stool

Starting off as the annoying consolation prize to beating a level, he now posses all the powers of both mario and luigi, along with the ability to work a cannon,

also you have to wonder, since there are more than on "toad" are they all just named toad, or are they all like some sort of hive mind with a master toad in some castle somewhere?

that's also very much like actual fungus, so it's not THAT far fetched,

also the whole clone idea would explain the concept of extra men much better.

and let's face it, a "super toad army" game does sound cool.
